This guide is for offices using the Intiveo Referral Portal

This guide will walk you through how to check or update a referred patient.

Existing Patients

Start by logging in with the referral portal link from the Intiveo user office. If you do not have a user, please view this article on how to sign up if you do not have a user.

To log in enter the email address, phone number, and password you created when you signed up.

 

Once you have logged in, click Check or update an existing referral.

This will list all of your referrals where you can filter it by the treatment type, office name, referral status and submission date. To view the referral details and update or check for updates on one click View

On the referral details page you will be able to see the current status or make any updates to the referral like uploading a file or adding a note.

  • Referral Status: The status of the referral will be displayed here which is managed and updated by the office you referred them to. This is how you can keep track of what's next for the referred patient. 

  • View Slip: Clicking this will open the submitted referral form where you can view all of the information that was submitted.

  • Add Note: Clicking this button from the top right of the referral will give you the option to add a note. These notes are viewable to the office you referred the patient to and you can use this to communicate with them. 

    • When you add a note this is how they will appear in the referral note logs.

    • If there is a new note from the other office there will be a "new" badge next to the note the next time you view the referral.

  • Patient Files: Clicking this button will open the two-way file uploader where you can upload or download files from the other practice. This will be differentiated by Files from Referral Sender and Files from Referral Receiver.

    • To preview a file you can click on one of the files in Patient Files. This will open a preview for you to view before you download the file. 

  • Download PDF: If you'd like to download a PDF of the referral, click this button to download it.

Will a notification be sent when there is an incoming referral?

Yes, if the practice using Intiveo has sent you a referral an email notification will be sent where you will need to log into the referral portal to view the referral. 

After you log in there will be a "new" badge on the Check or update an existing referral report.

In the report you will be able to see which referral is incoming or outgoing. 

For incoming patients, you have control over the referral status can you can make updates by clicking the options under the referral status timeline. 

If you mark them as booked you will need to select the date of the appointment time. 

To remove a patient you can click Remove Referral and select a reason for removing it. If you accidentally removed the patient you can move them back to one of the referral statuses by using the Move Back drop-down and selecting the status.
